Match Report 7th May 2024

A good practice session saw a dramatic improvement in the playing of Ishabel T. MacDonald and other 6/8s. With the slightly warmer evenings the 478 pitch was easily reached and maintained. The first major (The UK Championship) was looming and it transpired that SLOTs took the day in Grade 1 and Ravara, Grade 2. Pleasingly our guests this week, Lochgelly High School, took 2nd place in Nov A and had a clean sweep in the novice B grade with 4 firsts.

The post pie piper was hauled from behind the bar and had a few tunes on the P/Ms pipe. Chris is  a keen piper and it is great that he is now part of the EPS team. The final player of the night was the slightly inebriated Tam Lewin. Having confessed to having consumed the better part of a couple of bottles of French wine he treated us to a wide selection of music, including some Breton tunes. It was quite the finish to the night. Well done Tam.

The Scots Guards KO final has been postponed due to ill health of Sandy Cameron so look out for the revised date.

If you can, please come along tomorrow night and support the Lochgelly Pipes and Drums.
